Teenagers are exposed to many social pressures and issues on a daily basis, thus examining these issues is a regular part of the health curriculum at GHS.
Unit Objectives:
To examine the issue of bullying among teenagers by discussing who it happens to, where, when, and why
To discuss the issue of teen suicide and examine tactics for prevention and how to help a friend
To discuss the impact of technology on a teen’s social, physical and emotional health
To discuss and examine the issues created by cellphones
